Gallery Couture was established in 1991 in Manhasset, New York by two brothers David and Afshin Haghani. Catering to the North Shore of Long Island's elite Gold Coast customer, they soon found themselves a true bastion of good taste within the retail women’s apparel business. Gallery Couture is a designer driven boutique which offers a highly edited selection of current fashion. Due to the success of Gallery Couture, a second store concept, Loop 347, was created. Loop 347 would fulfill the need for weekend wear; meeting the client’s more casual, everyday needs. Shortly after, a third concept, The Gibson was launched. The Gibson focuses on young emerging designers consisting of on trend, fashion forward pieces, at a gentler price point. Afshin is the creative director, stylist, and buyer for Gallery Couture, Loop, and The Gibson, who has appeared on numerous television shows as a guest stylist and consultant. Not only does he have an eye for fashion, but Afshin is also responsible for the design and layout of all three stores. Traveling throughout Europe and Asia, Afshin has his finger on the pulse of the coming seasons’ lines, and what the discerning shopper is looking for. David corroborates the business and management end of the partnership and oversees the organization of the three stores. Gallery Couture continues to cater to the lifestyle orientated shopper in all stores and soon globally via the internet.
